Feel The Music Live!

(November 9, 2010 For Immediate Release)

Bruce Gannon, an active and prolific member at Wareham Community Television, is quickly becoming one of the busiest producers at WCTV. Bruce is about to launch an ambitious and, hopefully, most successful show to date.

Feel the Music Live will air from the Onset VFW Post every Wednesday. "I want this to be a bit of a throw back to late afternoon TV variety shows" states Gannon. One big difference this will have only 1 featured performer. Bruce continued "the show goes live at 8, there will be a brief intro, the band will play a single song to open, then a longer interview, and we'll end the show with more music. I didn't want to just turn on the lights and let the band play for an hour. I hope the audience will enjoy the format" concludes Gannon.

The public is invited to join in the fun. Up to 200 people can watch the live show, cheer, dance, and have fun, or they can watch it live on local access Comcast Channel 9, or Verizon Channel 30 or online at www.warehamtv.org.

The list of talented performers includes some that will be familiar to most from the area, including Carlston Wood, Grace Morrison and The Dukes of Gravity who took second prize in last year’s "Battle of the Bands". In addition Gannon has been able to bring in some of the best Providence has to offer. Talented singer/ song writers, Grammy award nominated, this line up has it all. He also has a very special guest scheduled to make an appearance in February, Mr. Charles Laquidara, formerly of WBCN Boston. There will be other guest hosts from the local music scene to help keep the theme of promoting local music and keeping live music alive.

The show is scheduled to run November 10 through March 30, every Wednesday night, only taking November 24th off for Thanksgiving. Feel the Music has been made possible by the generosity of the Onset VFW and WCTV.

Gannon hopes the community will come out to support the VFW "Heck they serve dinner at 6 for 6 bucks so come out for an inexpensive home made meal and see a great show for free!" he said.
